Rollins Mansion Fine Art Editorial
Updated: Feb 1
If you know me, you know I love creating beautiful things. I love the process of finding inspiration and seeing how it can be transformed into something incredible. This editorial shoot was truly that, incredible.
Recently, I have been loving all things european fine art weddings and photography. I love the soft and romantic wedding style that is elevated with artistic flare and lots of florals. I instantly knew I had to design my version and I knew exactly where I needed to do it.
Working at Rollins Mansion is always a joy, its timeless exterior and gorgeous landscaping made it the perfect location. Along with Rollins Mansion, I recruited a talented vendor team that I love to work with!
Together, we created a group of beautiful wedding vignettes; a lounge, ceremony set up, guest table, champagne cart, and dessert table. Within each of these looks there are so many details we incorporated, but I'm just going to share few of my favorites!
First, the incredible and edible flowers on the cake. And yes, I meant edible!!! The insanely talented Jennifer Smith creates the most stunning cakes with realistic and intricate details. Jennifer traveled from Cedar Rapids to be a part of this editorial shoot.
Secondly, Mandy Klyn of M.Klyn Floral Designs made my wildest dreams come true with a real floral parasol. I asked Mandy to be a part of this editorial because I knew she could create such a complex floral piece. What arrived on the day of the shoot was so much more than I could have asked for!
Lastly, the beautiful blue wedding gown because everyone needs a something blue! The Wild Love Collective shipped this incredible gown out from New England. I can't recommend them enough for shoot rental gowns!
This shoot was an absolute joy to plan and design. Special shoutout to all the vendors involved, I couldn't have done it without each of them!
